We went to the Greening of Red Feather today...Jordyn made crafts, we bought some home made goodies from the craft fair, and we got to see Santa! Now, when i was a kid, we always left out beer and cookies for Santa, as suggested by my dad. He told us that after drinking all that milk on Christmas Eve, perhaps Santa might like a beer with his cookies instead...so we would leave out a beer for Santa, and it was always empty in the morning ;) Since my dad is no longer with us, i like to share that story with my daughter...so she likes to leave out a beer for Santa too. So, when she sat in Santas lap today, she gave him lots of hugs and smiles, and told him, " i know what you like...you like beer!" Santa replied with many HO HO HO's...as did Justin, while i was as red as Santas suit! :) After chatting a while with Old Saint Nick, it was time for the big question...What do you want for Christmas? Apparently there is no limit on the number of items requested , as Jordyn asked for 3 things...a Scooter, a snowboarder Barbie, and the new Rapunzel doll! And with a beer for a bribe, she might just get them all!

That is so funny. We put beer out too when the kids were little. John also threatened to sit on the roof with a shotgun if they were bad. Brings back funny memories.
Cute photo! I bet that Santa wouldn't have said 'no' to a beer either so I am sure he was so there with you!! lol!
Over here we are so civilised, we leave a glass of sherry and a mince pie for Father Christmas! Strangely enough, he seems to manage to drink and eat here too!
