Happy Easter!!!

Happy Easter Everyone!  Jordyn raided her basket first thing in the morning while Kato pretended to be uninterested!  :)
She loves her new blue peep!
Then we went on an egg hunt outside as we headed up to Aunt LeAnns for more egg hunting inside with her cousins...yes, it was that cold outside, and not the best weather for outdoor hunting this year!
It was Parkers first time hunting for eggs, so Jordyn helped him out a bit!
Two more eggs for Jordyn....score!
Looks like Parker is starting to get the hang of it!  yeah!

Jordyn's basket was overflowing with eggs...and Parker just realized that some of the eggs have candy in them!  woohoo!

After egg hunting with the cousins, we headed out to Great Grandma Anitas place for Easter Brunch!
It was a delicious brunch with Ham, scalloped potatoes, asparagus, deviled eggs and shrimp!  yum!
Jordyn brought an Easter basket filled with colored eggs to hand out to the family.  She also shared some of her awards from school with Great Grandma.  Then it was time for dessert...
Jordyn enjoyed some carrot cake, while I had seconds of shrimp!
After brunch we went up to Anitas room to visit!  It was great to see everyone, and it was really nice to enjoy some sunshine in town.

Look...Jordyn is quickly catching up to Great Grandma!  This is what 9 and 93 look like!  Beautiful!
Happy Easter!!!

Teaching Parker How to Dye Eggs ~

Jordyn helped me make our traditional chocolate covered peanut butter eggs this year....we havent made them in a few years, so we thought it would be fun!  I forgot how absolutely delicious they are! YUMMO!  She helped me shape the eggs, and then she decorated them (after licking the bowl of course).  That evening we headed up to Aunt LeAnns to color Easter Eggs with cousin Parker.
It was his first time decorating eggs, so he was not sure what to expect!  But once Jordyn and Aunt LeAnn showed him how to do it, he was very excited!

He kept laughing and trying to shove as many eggs as he could in each glass.  It was hilarious!
Vivie, however, found the whole egg experience uninteresting, and quite upsetting actually :)

Looks like we're all ready for Easter now!  Bring on the bunny!

Spring Snow Day!!!

Received a call at around 4:30 in the morning...no school...snow day!  SNOW DAY, YES!!!
After calling all my preschool parents, i headed back to bed and woke up around 9:30...and it was fantastic!  Jordyn came downstairs a bit panicked, thinking we were late for school, so that was funny!  Once she realized it was a snow day, she ran back up to her room to play roblox, and we havent seen her since :)
Its 29 degrees outside with around 10 inches of snow so far, so I'm happy to be cozy at home in my pajamas!
Ive been working on my preschool calendar for the rest of the year and I cant believe there's only 10 weeks of school left.  YEAH!  This has been an exhausting year with the new job and lots of new changes to the old one, so I'm ready for the summer to get here!  I think tree beard is ready for summer too!  :)
Stay Warm!

I Love the Mountains!

Encountered this magnificent creature on our way home from school today!  He will help remind me why I love living up here when the snowstorm comes rolling in tonight!  Its supposed to be a good one!  Bring on Spring!

Lots of Colorful Butterflies ~

Jordyn really wanted to go to the Butterfly Pavilion today, so thats where we went!  It had been a while since we were there last, so it was nice to wander around and check things out.
Our first stop was to visit Rosie!
This rainbow stag beetle was very pretty...colorful and creepy at the same time!

I'm still learning how to use all the settings on my camera, so it was the perfect surroundings to explore those features and capture some gorgeous butterflies!

And of course, theres always room for a silly shot of Jordyn being attacked by giant beetles!
I liked this painting in one of the exhibits, so I snapped a photo of it!
We timed our visit just right and left just before all the crowds got there!  What fun!
