Jordyn and I discovered this magnificent creature on our way to school this morning! He was just sitting in the middle of the road, and then flew up into a tree when we drove towards him. We stopped and took a bunch of pictures of him as he patiently waited for the paparazzi to go away. What a great start to our day!

Snowshoeing ~
Took the preschoolers snowshoeing on the nature trail today and had a great time! Yes, Miss Elliett is missing a shoe...but no worries, its right by the rock :) Jordyn's class went snowshoeing on Monday (breaking the trail for us and making it easier for the little ones), and heres a shot of them from Monday! Their class won the Iditarod Challenge, so this was their reward. Gotta love Mountain Schools!

Finally Snowman Snow ~
Over the weekend we had a wonderful spring snowstorm and got almost 2 feet of snow. (Jordyns soccer game was canceled and everything!) But naturally, because its a spring snow, its almost all melted away already. It was however, the perfect snowman snow, so Justin and Jordyn went outside and built these two snow people, which i got to decorate! The snow was nice, but I'm ready for some sunshine! Bring on Summer!

Big Horn Sheep
These guys were hanging out all over the mountainside this morning....there were a couple dozen of them munching away as we passed them on our way to school! Just one more reminder of why we love living where we do!

Game Two ~
The Eagles had their second game today, and they played a fantastic game! They won 3 - 1, and they were all over the field!
Jordyn played some defense as well as offense, she loves to play both, but shes really great at defense! She did take the ball down the field a few times and got a shot or two on goal, but no goals this time around. She still played a dynamite game though!
And how could she not....she had these fans sitting on the sideline cheering for her! Great Grandma Anita remembers coming to this field to watch her granddaughter Corey play, and now she comes to watch her Great Granddaughter play! Very cool indeed! And did you see the gorgeous weather we had...what a great day!

Eagles First Soccer Game of the Season ~
Jordyn had her first soccer game of the season today and they won 1 - 0. It was a great game, and the girls played really well together! It will be fun to see how they grow as a team over the season! The weather was fabulous too, and it was great to see the sun shining after all the snow we've been getting lately!
I'm loving not coaching this year! Its really nice to enjoy the game with the other parents, and not have to worry about subbing kids, positions, or any other stuff. Plus they are playing at a new soccer complex, and it is gorgeous!
Just look at the beautiful mountain views and the nice fields. They also have a coffee truck and a snack truck, so that was a nice bonus!
Christy came to the game...of course! It was nice to visit with her during the game instead of having to coach...another bonus to sitting on the sidelines! :) We had big plans to go out for breakfast and then enjoy the gem and mineral show in Fort Collins, but Jordyn told me she wasnt feeling very well after the game, so we headed home. It was a good thing we did too, because she threw up about 4 times as we were headed for the canyon. (probably only the 5th time she's ever vomited in her entire life). I decided to stop at the Walmart and pick up a bucket (its a long drive home, so we thought we better be prepared), but thankfully, whatever disagreed with her that morning, was gone by the time we got home. Poor thing...what a tough cookie to hang through the whole game feeling that bad!
We did enjoy these locals hanging out on the mountainside across the street from the house when we got home. The one sitting down is cracking me up....looks like shes telling a story that the other sheep have heard a million times, so the other one is walking off irritated with her :)

She just sat there and posed for me the entire time! What a fabulous day indeed!
