November has been a crazy month with girl scout training for me, school activities, birthday parties and the general chaos of having a six year old :) Today was the first awards ceremony at Jordyns school. Here is a shot of all the kids with a perfect attendance for the first quarter....in case you didnt know it, my kids the one with the big mouth :) (hard to believe, i know) And here are my two latest blocks in the birthday block of the month swap on about.com. Miss November wanted 30's repro prints in 12 inch blocks, so i tried to find vintage patterns that would compliment her fabrics...on the left is the yankee charm block and on the right is Martha Washingtons Star. I have never worked with 30's fabrics, so i ordered a 30's pack of 10" squares from Keepsake Quilting and have a lot left over, so i look forward to creating something with those. My month is December, so i get to take a bit of a break before i have to make any blocks again...which is good with the holidays around the corner. Can you believe its already the second week of November already! Happy Quilting Everyone!
