The next morning Jordyn donned her new Valentine outfit from grandma kristi, with accessories from grandma barbara, and headed off to school. She got a beautiful handmade vest from grandma pat too, but that outfit will have to wait for another day. She was very excited for the "big" party. The kids decorated their own Valentine box and then they got to deliver their Valentines.
Next, they enjoyed a delicious yogurt bar with tasty toppings, cupcakes, and then dancing!
The kids had a lot of fun, but most importantly, they felt a lot of love from all their fellow classmates, and who doesnt want to feel that as a kid! She must have danced herself silly, because she fell asleep on the ride home, and napped for almost 3 hours. Sounds like a great Valentines Day to me :)
Hope yours was filled with sweet somethings! Happy Valentines Day!

Here in the UK Valentine's Day is much more of a couples thing. Children don't really get involved much, which is a shame. We can all do with a bit of extra love in our world!
We always had a valentine exchange and a party at school when I was a kid. (We had to give EVERYONE a valentine.) We would spend several art classes making our Valentine boxes. Fun stuff. Oh, and Dave got the new BluRay set of Star Wars, lol.
