Marshmallow Lovers ~

Rascal stopped by with some friends today and they enjoyed some marshmallows!  We aren't sure if this is her litter or if she adopted them, but they all hang out together now.  Baby raccoons are soooo cute!

Wintery Wonderland ~

 Well, I knew we were getting snow, but I thought it would be a dusting...not 5 inches worth!  hahaha

 It looks funny to see all the white snow around with splashes of Autumn underneath!  I was hoping to get some photos of Jordyn in her Halloween costume, but it looks like I might end up taking them in the snow instead!  What a perfect day to stay inside curled up with a good book!

Pumpkin Patch with Friends ~

 The weather was perfect for a trip to the pumpkin patch today!  We started out at Tabby's house and enjoyed a late breakfast of quiche, pancakes, donuts and mimosas!  Then we headed out to the pumpkin patch!  The whole gathering was a last minute plan, but it turned out to be awesome!

 The teens ditched us in the corn maze, so we relaxed and took our time walking through it.

 I busted Tabby and Sharon texting while walking the maze, so they stopped for this silly photo!

 After the corn maze the little ones hit the playground, while the older ones ran all around, playing fussball, getting lost in the corn maze again, and checking out the pumpkins.  Meanwhile, I ordered another batch of roasted green chilies...  I love having a stash in my freezer, and it lasts me the entire year!

 We wandered out into the pumpkin patch and found 3 perfect pumpkins for carving!  Then we headed back to Tabbys house to decorate pumpkin cookies!

This kids enjoyed decorating the cookies, but enjoyed eating them even more!  What a messy good time!

 We watched the Avengers movie until it was time to head home.  There is talk of snow tonight, which seems so silly since the weather was so warm, but Colorado is always full of surprises, so we shall see what happens!  What a great day!

Dynamite Season Finale ~

Jordyn played the last two volleyball games of the season last night. Warning, mom bragging moment coming up... She scored 22 points in a row from her serves in the first game (they play to 25) :) hahahaha And then she scored another 16 points in the second game for her serves (not in a row this time), but what a season finale she had! Naturally we went to Verns after the game to celebrate :) Way to go kiddo!!! Sorry no photos...too caught up in the moment to take any :)

DEER!!!

You're not gonna believe this...I just hit another deer!!!! Thankfully I was able to slow down enough to not ruin the car, windshield or the deer, but within one week!?! Good Grief! We just had the windshield replaced on Friday! DOH! This time there were three of them I had to dodge!  It was like Frogger!  Meanwhile, here is a photo of the traffic jam I had to deal with this morning. I passed big horn sheep, turkeys and a bald eagle! So life in the mountains is still awesome!

Give Next ~

Jordyn enjoyed a field trip with her NJHS group this week.  They went to CSU to meet with Give Next to decide which organization they wanted to donate their funds to.  Its a fun event where they have lunch and socialize with the groups.  I stole this photo from the school website...what a great group of girls!

Raccoons and Volleyball ~

 This little furball has visited us the last couple of nights.  He is super sweet and shy, but seems to like us.  If you talk to him, he will follow you and see what you are up too.  Kitten does not care for him, but he keeps his distance from the cats (or I should say, the kitten chases him off...Kato doesn't seem to care).  We have discovered that he loves bread.  Today he was favoring his paw, I hope he heals quickly.  Anyways, it's always fun to have a visitor!

 Meanwhile,  Jordyn brought home her volleyball team pics.  She's looking so grown up!  Jordyn's volleyball team only has 2 more game days left! While I have enjoyed her games and watching her play, it will be nice not having to drive all the way to town every day and get home earlier in the evenings!  We get home so late there isn't much time to do anything...so I'm looking forward to some cozy time at home with the family!  Go Pirates!!!
