Mint Juleps Anyone ~

We enjoyed some mint juleps at work today for the Derby, and Toby and Shawn placed a bet on Always Dreaming, and won!  Kicking off the season with a great start!  Next year, we plan to make hats!  :)

We had some fun in class today, Darth Westrope, Sith Lord of Technology had the kids create Star Wars art in the computer lab. We jammed to the original Star Wars soundtrack and all the kids went home with a Chewbacca bookmark! :) Free throat hugs were administered as needed!  Good times!

Teacher Appreciation Luncheon ~

Found this in my car today when I was leaving work! Homemade cucumber melon pinot grigio...cant wait to try it! We enjoyed a fabulous teacher appreciation luncheon at school today, complete with potato bar, broccoli cheese soup, fruit salad, macaroni salad, cucumber water, bacon appetizers, and lots of desserts! All provided by the awesome parents of our awesome students! These parents covered lunch room duty and recess duty so we could all sit together and enjoy this fine feast! I'm feeling honored to be a part of such an amazing group, and I will miss all of you next year when I move on.  Oh, and the beauty of being a parent as well as a teacher here...i provided a dessert for the feast, and then got to enjoy eating it! <3 span=""> Thank you again ladies for a wonderful lunch...and thank you for my "mom juice" :) hugs all around!

May Day Surprise ~

This little gem was found on our porch on May Day...what a fun surprise!  Apparently they showed up all over the canyon at many neighbors houses.  We discovered who the culprit was...Thank you DiAyn Revis...it made our day!

Happy Easter ~

 Jordyn was greeting with this lovely Easter haul this morning!  Lots of fun goodies in her basket, but my favorite is the hair color!  She wants to dye her hair bright red!  To be honest, I'm just glad she's taking any interest in her hair at all, being the tomboy that she is :)

 After stuffing her face with candy and going through all the goodies, we headed outside to hunt for eggs.  There were about 50 outside, so it kept her busy for quite a while!  In fact, I still don't think we found them all.

 Naturally we had to hide one over in her bone garden...we got this disgusting head off of a sheep that was hit by the car the other day to add to her collection...I'm thinking we should have waited till the animals picked it completely clean first....ick!  The lantern is another favorite hiding spot too!

 Kitten seemed to enjoy the egg hunt...but mostly I think the cats were just happy to be outside in this gorgeous weather!

Egg Decorating Time ~

 It's Easter egg coloring time...but first, lets make some of our delicious peanut butter eggs!!!  These are soooo good!

 Jordyn insisted on having one, claiming they were ready.  Of course they weren't, so here she is smiling as she eats one, knowing full well, its all melty and not quite ready yet!  Busted!

Anyways, after making peanut butter eggs, it was time to color our hard boiled eggs.  We had two different coloring techniques going on, but the end result was quite pretty!

You can't tell by the photo, but the eggs had some glitter and sparkles on them.  They almost match their tie-dyes!  Anyways, looks like we are all ready for the Easter Bunny now!

Happy Siblings Day to my sisters, Denise and Teresa!!!  Looking forward to our trip to New Orleans in exactly one month from today!  I love you guys!!!
