Goldfish, Gonefish...

Jordyn went to a sleepover at her friend Kelsey's house and the next morning they went to a carnival!  She won three goldfish and was excited to bring them home.  Looks like Kitten was excited for her to bring them home too!  She watched them for an hour.

Alas, as hard as we try, our house gets too cold at night, so the fish didn't survive.  She knew there was a chance they wouldn't make it, so she was a good sport about it, but I was sort of sad...I forgot how fun it is to watch fish.  Goodbye, Tom, Jerry and Bob.

Flash Forward ~

So we were having a little fun with the Magazine Cover App...and check out Jordyn!!!  Wow, I guess we have an idea of what she will look like grown up (assuming she wears that much make-up)  :)  I can see a bit of my mom in her too.  And here's my magazine cover too...too funny!

Off to War ~

Estrella War that is!  Justin headed off to war for a week to celebrate Donovan getting his Laurel...one of the highest awards you can receive in the SCA.  He also popped in on his folks since he was in Arizona, so he had a nice trip all around!  Can't wait for him to get back and share all his tales!  I stole these photos off Facebook from various folks sharing, because you know Justin didn't take any!  Have a safe trip Justin!

LOVE ~

A couple of 1st graders found this cool stick shaped like an "L" last week at recess...so I told them to try to spell out a word with other sticks....this is what they came up with.  Reason #389, why I LOVE working with kids!

STOMP!

The music department at CLP Middle School organized a field trip for family and students to go to the production of Stomp down in Denver, providing a bus, dinner and the show, all for a fabulous price, so Justin, Jordyn and Aunt LeAnn decided to go!  Andrea was going as well, so she joined their group for the evening, and then came over to our house after the show for a sleepover.

They met at the school where everyone loaded up onto 3 buses for the trip.  It was their largest turn out for a field trip ever, so that was exciting!  They stopped in Northglenn and had dinner at Cinzetti's just off the freeway, and then continued on to Denver for the show.

It was Jordyn's first time going to the Performing Arts Center in Denver, and it looks like she had a fun!  Justin said the show was amazing, and I think a great time was had by all!  What a wonderful experience for these kids!  Thanks for putting this together Mr. Gezzi!
