Rogue Camp!!!

Well, the last Rogue pulled out of here at 3:30pm on Monday (Talan).  What a magical weekend we had!
Rogue started on Wednesday with Nevin, Lisa and Levi pulling in, followed by Bob and Rachel and their three new little girls, Alaina, Kiana and JJ, and then Pete and Kathryn shortly after.  I knew when we had such an early crowd show up on Wednesday, the party would be grand, and grand it was!!!!
I think this was our biggest Rogue yet!  The giant slide in the meadow with 3 slip n' slides were very popular with the kids, but was especially enjoyed by Pete.
The food was fantastic...taco night, surf and turf, second breakfast, shrimp galore and all the rest of it...YUM!  Brandy & limes a-plenty, champagne, a Bloody Mary bar, Moscow mules, wow!
The music and celebration on Friday night was spectacular!  Lots of dancing, laughter and fun!  One pirate crossed the line by groping some of the ladies (and some of the men too), but the fairies took care of him (or Karma did), by stealing his glasses and a boot and gifting him with a broken ankle.  Don't piss off the fairies!
Saturday brought on a fabulous game of croquet, complete with new obstacles on the course and a not-so-regulation mallet. (shame-shame Justin M.)  But the adventure was worth it and Donovan (cheater) won.
The new incinitron (red right return) added more magic to the fire as did the return of the light whip and newbies dancing in a circle!
Sunday night 14 pirates remained, enjoying more music and laughter around an intimate fire.  We cooked bacon over the fire on skewers (great idea Shavonne), and put our feet up for a spell, while others played glow in the dark corn hole.
We all slept in on Monday and the remaining pirates started to pack.  A bottle of champagne was discovered in the fridge (thanks Christy), so Talan, Duncan and I enjoyed the bottle over memories of the SCA and previous Rogue Camps.  How it has changed and grown over the years and what fun we will see in the future.  This group of people are special in my heart and I am always renewed with energy and inspiration after they've gone!
The Rogue Baron and I sipped the last shot out of the enormous bottle of Honey Jack Daniels that was left behind and enjoyed the many shared adventures with each other over the weekend.  We are truly lucky to know such wonderful souls and we look forward to Rogue XX next year!  My heart is full!!!
Enjoy the photos...which are in no particular order!

Campout With Friends ~

Instead of having a big playdate at our house this summer, we opted for a campout instead!  We invited a few families and the kids got their Dab on!  While the moms got their margaritas on :)

There was lots of river chaos and rope swing fun!

Then there were glow stick battles in the meadow, along with the potato gun glow sticks...light saber battles and more!  We finally called it quits around midnight, but the kids were going strong, and they tried to stay up all night.  They did a pretty good job of it too!  Look how tired this bunch is at breakfast :)

And after everyone left, Jordyn and the cats sacked out in my room for about 5 hours!  Amateurs!  :)
I think its safe to say a great time was had by all!  We need to do this again soon!

Happy 11th Birthday Jordyn!!!

For Jordyn's birthday she chose to go to Fort Fun again.  This place really is a lot of fun and affordable too.  It's a good time for adults and kids alike!  They enjoyed all the activities, but of course their favorite was the GoCarts and the Laser Tag!

The water boats were refreshing on a hot day...in fact, we stood close by just to get squirted a bit to cool off!  Then it was time for pizza and icees....they totally hit the spot!
Sharon and Victoria stayed for a while and joined in on the fun, so Justin took Victoria for a spin on the GoCarts!  She LOVED it!
Uh-Oh, looks like Andrea and Aspen got in a little fender bender, while Jordyn sneaks on by and takes the lead!
Laser tag was a blast as always...we enjoyed playing on teams this time around and it was hilarious!

Andrea and Justin give Jordyn some tips on winning a ball...in fact everyone won a ball!
They got rid of the carousel they used to have there. That was Jordyns favorite when she was little so it was sad to see that gone.
We got home around 9pm that night and the girls crashed out in the "last resort".  They woke up early and played Jordyns new game she got from her great godmother Sandy, 5 second rule, and that was fun listening to them come up with their answers.  They all tried to cheat a bit!
Then the girls played in the river while I finished making her cake!

Happy Birthday Sweetheart...I hope all your wishes come true!  We LOVE you!!!
