Summer Playdate at the Black Bear Cabin ~

With Rogue camp coming up and July coming to a close soon, we figured we better get another playdate in before the summer gets away from us, so on Sunday we decided to have some friends over for a pot luck and some fun!
Stephanie made homemade biscuits to go with Robin's pulled pork (Robin didnt make it but her crock pot did...thank you for sending the goodies Robin, hope you guys feel good soon)....and Stephanie also made this delicious rainbow salad....it's almost to pretty to eat!  We also enjoyed hot dogs, brats, guac and chips along with other munchies!  These ladies know how to put out a spread!
Then it was playtime in the river....the kids enjoyed the inflatable dolphin, the rope swing and the boat...but then Tabby and I kicked them out of the boat so we could have a turn!

Which we thoroughly enjoyed....just look how serious we are in this second shot!  I'm not thrilled with photos of myself in a swimsuit, but thats not going to stop me from having fun.  I will say that after seeing these though, a better diet and exercise program is in order!  :)
The kids enjoyed trampoline time too....who doesnt love a trampoline!?!

When everyone was heading out, Jordyn asked if her friend Kelsey could spend the night, so the party continued on through the evening with s'mores, a cozy fire, and a movie!  We enjoyed watching the new Kung Fu Panda 3 movie that Jordyn got for her birthday.  Hooray for Summer!

Jordyn Reaches the Double Digits!!!

Jordyn turned 10 yesterday and wanted a party at Fort Fun like last year, so away we went!  She invited several friends and her cousin Wolf is up for the summer so he came along too.
It was a perfect day...not too hot, but naturally the kids wanted to get wet, so they hit all the water rides first.
The balloon blast was a big hit!

But the Go-carts were the favorite this year because its the first time Jordyn got to drive herself!  She's always had to be a passenger, but this year her and Andrea got to ride the Go-carts by themselves for the first time, and they LOVED it!  We got to the park right when it opened, so there were no lines anywhere and the kids got to ride these over and over again without waiting.  In fact, the entire day was like that...im so glad we did it on a Thursday and there were no big summer camp groups there!  It was great!

Grandma and Grandpa came and brought Great Grandma Anita with them too.  Grandpa even snuck in a round of laser tag with the kids.

We enjoyed pizza for lunch and then Jordyn opened her presents from the Bruens.  She posed for a four generations photo with the family and then it was time for more chaos and fun!

The kids are so much fun at this age.  I dont have to worry too much about them and they could run around and pretty much do whatever they wanted.  They came back to the table often to check in, but then again, most of the time we participated in the activities with them.  It was nice to have that freedom though, and I'm sure the kids felt the same way.  The bumper boats, however, the kids were on their own, as there was no way to walk away from that ride without being completely soaked!

The other favorite attraction at Fort Fun, was once again, the laser tag!  The kids played this over and over and couldn't get enough!  Jordyn likes to shoot me a lot inside this game...she did that last year too.  I'm not quite sure how to take that :)

After almost 12 hours of fun, we headed home to do cake and presents.

 Make a wish sweetheart!
The kids loved the emojis on the cake, and Oriana loved her gluten free brownies and shared them with the kids too.

Jordyns tower of presents from Justin and I.  She received a little ozobot robot, a drone, some jewelry, books, a bag with a photo of her and fuzzy on it and of course this crazy (but totally Jordyn) t-shirt, which reads "I cant hear you over the sound of how EPIC I am".

The girls all slept out in the RV, which was awesome....and then they came in the next morning to have cake for breakfast!  It's great to be 10!
 Happy Birthday Jordyn....We Love You!!!
